Introduction:

I welcome you to The LDS Second Coming of Christ Research Group. This group started in the early 90's as a small email group, which expanded to include a WEB site in 1996 to track the ideas of the group. The group then moved to Egroups then yahoo groups where the group died with the end of Yahoo groups Dec 15 2020. I tried to restore the group on Gab.com: https://gab.com/groups/4790 with little success.

The key events, listed on this site, comprise a list of what will be the greatest work that this world has seen, second only to the great atoning sacrifice of Christ. These events will also lead to the greatest time of mankind, one which mankind has only caught glimpses of, like the city of Enoch and the people just after the visit of Christ to the Americas, the Millennium.

Many of the prophecies of the last days are not chronological and simply list a group of events that must take place prior to the second coming, others list events surrounding the Second Coming both before and after Christ's return . Although key concepts and ideas are coming together much is left to do. I am asking for the assistance of LDS members who have a firm interest in this project, to all who see this as an important event in the quest of life. A last days prepper focus is on 5CP

This work needs to be done with a sincere reliance on the spirit to avoid the delusional Daybell syndrome, spinning off a cult like study of future events.

Importance of the Work

From this project I hope to install in every member of the church (even members of othe r Christian religions) a revived desire to earnestly study the second coming of Christ. I have come to understand why individuals outside of the church have limited the importance of this topic, based on a false understanding of what they call the "Rapture", but I hope to remove some of the misunderstandings within members of the church concerning the need to more fully study this important event. Most of the lack of interest however I believe comes from a misunderstanding of statements from modern prophets in the late 80’s and 90’s. .....

The Key Events

This section is a listing of key events leading up to the last days and through the second coming. This section will be a snapshot in time of this ongoing living event list.

The events are listed in chronological order. Many of the events may not be in their proper place and might need to be moved, thus the living nature of the list. As I have built this last days mosaic I have adjusted the pieces of the puzzle to try and arrive at a complete picture, that will include all prophecies, but have yet to arrive at a final solution.

I have attempted to keep my own personal thoughts out of this section, I tried to include only items pertinent to the event itself, however some events do not permit this approach and need further clarification thus my comments are included in some locations. For the most part my own views have been reserved for the section of this work dealing with that topic. As a study group resource I would also like to see others views included. I request from anyone that is willing to share their own interpretation of the full set of events to provide me with their own view so that they can also be included.

Many of the key events are simply listed with scriptural references, while others have other references and comments as required. The reason for the additional references or comments are to help properly identify what the event is or clarify where in the list they belong. Some events require no further clarification since they are well understood or are not debated.

With that in mind let's start the list.

We must first understand the foundation for the work in the last days a period known as the Dispensation of the Fullness of Times.

Future preparatory events this is out of place since I believe some of the polarization events (listed next) have already begun. However not knowing where in the timeline these, clearly yet to happen events, belong I have listed them first for discussion.

I think both of these will cause issues for Christianity as a whole, with the heavens being sealed (no scripture outside of the pared down Bible we now have and no living prophets) this will put any of these type of events inside the antichrist camp in the minds of most. One example I recently saw was the inclusion of new scripture coming forth aligned with the Muslim Mahdi (antichrist).

Polarization events

Now we start into the polarization phase events themselves. Each event should have a clear starting or finishing point that can be assigned. The event may not be quite so final in and of itself however, the event will produce a polarizing affect on individuals or groups. No longer will one be able to sit astride the fence, or go off and play in the forest while the train slowly lumbers on, as it was put in general conference. (Spiritual Revival, Glenn L. Pace; October 1992)

Prior to my discovery of Michael B Rush’s work (Nov 2022) I assumed the first glimpse of who the Anti Christ was, would come with His participation in the Daniel 7 year period and setting up the seven year “covenant with the many”. If His take on the Ezra Eagle prophecy is correct we may see Him prior to that when He takes out the Eagle heads or even earlier when He returns with the watchers (ET Phone Home).

2/11/23 Major change based on Pickering’s book (Understanding Daniel’s Timeline (Prophecy Unsealed))

4/21/2031: The double holy day- the seventh day of Unleavened Bread / Firstfruits is the Mid point in Daniel’s final 7 year period and is the anchor point for all numbered dates given by John and Daniel. This will be tested out soon with the start of the 2300 days on 12/25/2024 and the start of the Daily Sacrifice. Also the start of the 7 years: 02 October 2027 (Rosh Hashana 5788) is the start of the ½ hour of silence

According to the Pickerings this is a busy multi faceted event, a time where the fate of Israel makes a major change or reversal like that seen during the original exodus where Israel sees their freedom and the Army a pharaoh is wiped out in the Red Sea.

Armageddon: The Setting
According to the prophets, some important events must take place before the battle actually begins:
1.    The house of Israel will be gathered from among the heathen (the Gentiles) and returned to their own land (see Ezekiel 36:24; 37:21).
2.    The land of Israel will be rebuilt and reinhabited by the covenant people (see Ezekiel 36:10–12, 33–36).
3.    The land will become highly productive and fruitful, even like the Garden of Eden (see Ezekiel 36:8, 29–30, 34–35).
4.    There will be one nation in the land of Israel again (see Ezekiel 37:22).
5.    Jerusalem will be reestablished as the capital city of the Israelites (see Zechariah 1:16–17; 2:12; 12:6; 3 Nephi 20:46). (Current point…last item fulfilled in: The embassy was officially opened in Jerusalem on May 14, 2018,)
6.    Judah will become powerful in politics and warfare (see Isaiah 19:16–17; Zechariah 10:3, 5–6).
7.    A great combination of organizations serving Satan will arise in the last days. This combination has several names: the “beast … out of the sea” (Revelation 13:1), representing the kingdoms of the earth (see JST, Revelation 13:1; 17:8–14; Bruce R. McConkie, Doctrinal New Testament Commentary3:520); the “great and abominable church,” “the church of the devil,” “the great whore,” and “the mother of … abominations” (Revelation 17:1, 5).
Elder George Q. Morris of the Quorum of the Twelve stated that some of the totalitarian regimes of the 20th century were part of this coalition:

Looking at Michael B Rush’s work on Ezra’s Eagle. This secret combination started with the CFR and will culminate after the events leading up to the end of Biden’s 2020 term: Biden being the second of the last four short feathers will end His term early/be removed prior to the end of His first term (Jan 2025) since Trump only lasted one term, and those who expected to follow, VP Harris then possible the Speaker of the House will be taken out (eaten up by the eagle head) around the same time of what ever event cuts Biden’s term short. Michael has speculated that at that time Continuity of Government would kick in and unelected (eagle Head) figures (3) will step in and take control of the US Government… another view by John Taylor
